I’m dealing with what feels like nonstop harassment from Direct Recovery Associates. At first, it was just a few calls, but now it’s up to 8-10 times a day, often before 8 AM or after 9 PM. They’ve called my workplace even after I told them to stop, and they’ve made vague threats about lawsuits and garnishment.

I asked for written validation of the debt, but they never sent it. When I requested they only contact me in writing, they ignored that too. The constant calls are affecting my sleep and my ability to focus at work.

I finally started looking into my rights and found out that what they’re doing might violate federal law. I documented every call (dates, times, what was said) and sent a formal cease and desist letter by certified mail. That helped a little, but they still try me from different numbers.

Has anyone else dealt with this agency? How did you get them to actually stop? I just want the harassment to end without going broke trying to fight it.

TL;DR: Direct Recovery Associates calls 10x/day, threatens legal action, won’t validate debt. Need real advice on making them stop.
