Been there with my mom after knee surgery, and yeah, the timing changes alone can drive you nuts. What helped us was realizing early that “just picking them up” isn’t always realistic, especially if mobility is limited or pain meds are involved. We talked to the discharge nurse ahead of time and asked very specific questions about seating, walking support, and how long the ride should be.
